LOHAS is an acronym for Lifestyle of Health & Sustainability. It is not only a cluster of individuals but also a definition of the market for products and services that these individuals prefer. The market consists of several different segments ranging from organic food, spa & yoga services, to fuel efficient cars & natural health products. The interesting aspect of LOHAS is that they are linked together not primarily by demographics, like age or income, but by their values and beliefs related to sustainable living & green, ecological initiatives. In the US, Japan, Australia & in certain countries in Europe, extensive research has been carried out in order to define & understand these people. The current estimate is that LOHAS consists of about 100 million people worldwide & that approximately 20% of the population in Europe may be labeled LOHAS consumers.โฃ

Cut a cotton pad into three pieces & soak with toner, essence, ampoule or serum of your choice. Next, apply the saturated pieces to the areas you wish to treat. Varuza recommends doing this every morning before applying makeup. Leave on for 10-15 minutes & remove prior to the pieces drying. After removing, apply any moisturizer of your choice. You will notice moisturized, glowy skin, that is ready for makeup. โฃ

I am a big fan of Korean cotton pads as opposed to those made in the US. American cotton pads are fluffy & absorbent. While they do a great job at soaking up product (almost too good), they have a tendency to leave fuzz & lint on the skin. Why is this an issue? Lint left on the skin can soak up skinโ€™s natural moisture, leaving skin dry & coarse. It can also clog pores or attract debris & dirt, further irritating the skinโ€™s surface. American cotton pads can feel scratchy & tend to fall apart easily. #Kbeauty cotton pads feature a smoother, stronger texture that looks & feels more like a spongey face wipe as opposed to a cotton ball. They, in my experience, are gentler on the skin. They are also typically made with unbleached & untreated cotton to help minimize irritation. They do not pill & do not soak up all of your product, allowing the product to be effectively transferred to the skin. Because of their durability, they can play a more comprehensive role in your skincare routine. โฃ

These pads by Varuza are completely natural; you can even see brown specs from cotton seeds in these pads. I love that these pads are untreated. They are truly lint-free which make them perfect for doing your nails. There is nothing worse than that random piece of fuzz from your cotton pad that gets stuck in your shiny, perfectly applied top coat. There is also nothing worse than that piece of lint that gets stuck on your eyelashes, that you can see from your peripheral vision but cannot seem to remove! โฃ

At first touch, these pads do not feel that soft. However, once product is applied to the pads, they transform to a soft, non-irritating pillow of goodness. The reason that they feel stiff is that Korean cotton pads generally use a higher fabric weight cotton. You can definitely tell that this is the case with these pads. They tear/cut easily so making your own mask pack is a breeze. They do a good job of absorbing toner & serum rather than allowing it to roll off like some cotton pads. Although they are absorbent, they are not overly absorbent so as to waste product. These pads are thin which makes them perfect for doing a quick self-mask. I have very dry, sensitive skin & using these pads with a moisturizing, soothing toner has really helped ease my dry, red patches. They are 100% fragrance-free & perfect for my sensitive skin. I love that these pads have three layers which also adds to their gentle feel. The layers can be separated or used together. โฃ

I also love that these come 300 pads to a box, meaning that one box will last me 4-5 months easily unless I get crazy with the self-made masks. These pads retail for $12.99 on Amazon. I am glad I had the opportunity to try these pads. I do believe they will replace the pads I have been using for the past several years. โฃ

Thank you to #08liter & #varuza for giving me the opportunity to try this product for a reduced price. As always, my opinions are my own & are honest based on my experience with a product.
